Mandatory approval from state Fire Services Department before operating. Restaurants ≥90 sqm built-up area must have it. Renewed every 1–3 years.

ABC-type extinguishers at all floors, kitchen, and exits. Must be serviced annually. Absence = immediate closure risk.

⚡ THE SHOCKING REALITY

According to Delhi Fire Services (DFS) data, only ~2% of Delhi's 2,000–3,000 hotels and clubs have a valid fire safety certificate. After the Goa nightclub tragedy, MCD ordered inspections of all Delhi restaurants and hotels — yet no platform (Zomato, Swiggy Dineout, MakeMyTrip) shows fire compliance status. Their AI chatbots, when asked about fire safety, simply say "no data available." This portal exists to fill that gap until the platforms step up.

Failed Citizens
None of the three major platforms — Zomato, Swiggy, or MakeMyTrip — provide standardised fire safety compliance information. Their AI chatbots are trained to recommend food and rooms, not to protect lives. Budget travellers and diners — who are most likely to use non-compliant establishments — get zero safety information. Premium hotels get some data. This is a class divide in safety information.
